The Department of Water Resources is pushing forward with its obligations under the Wetlands Convention, renewing the "Wetlands City" initiative for Sri Songkhram Subdistrict Municipality, Nakhon Phanom Province.
On April 23, 2026, Ms. Boonthida Plengsang, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Water Resources, met with Lieutenant Colonel Adisak Noisuwan, Governor of Nakhon Phanom Province, to discuss strategies for implementing the obligations of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands.
